Grand Rapids, Michigan (December 10, 2013) – BRANDT’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series #51 "Ag Car" will be on display at the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Market Expo this week. The "Ag Car" helps build awareness of the importance of agriculture and has attracted other key ag organizations, such as the FFA and Nutrients for Life, whose logos are displayed on the car. ALLGAIER COMES BACK FROM TWO SPINS TO FINISH 27TH IN SPRINT CUP DEBUT
JOLIET, Ill. (September 16, 2013) – Justin Allgaier’s return to his home state was done in style. The 27-year-old Riverton, Ill. native made his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) debut on Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway (CLS) with Phoenix Racing. Allgaier’s first laps in the Gen 6 Sprint Cup car came during the first practice session on Friday afternoon at CLS. Allgaier spent the practice session getting acclimated to the car and logged 19 laps. Following the first practice, Allgaier took to the track for qualifying in his No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture SS. After his first time qualifying the Chevy SS, Allgaier posted a time of 29.335 seconds, which earned him the 36th starting spot. On Saturday, Allgaier completed two additional NSCS practice sessions and ran a total of 91 laps. After rain delayed the start of the 267-lap Geico 400, Allgaier raced his way up to the 28th position before the red flag was displayed for a little over five hours due to precipitation. After getting back in the No. 51 car shortly after 9 p.m. local time, Allgaier battled back from spinning two times and brought the No. 51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet SS home in the 27th position in his NSCS debut. BRANDT FINISHES THE 2012 NASCAR SEASON
The 2012 season has come to a close with the BRANDT team claiming the sixth position in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship point standings. Justin Allgaier and the No. 31 Chevrolet of Turner Motorsports notched one win, six top-fives and 19 top-10’s for an overall total of 1076 championship points. The one win came on a last-lap pass at the historic Montreal (Canada) road course, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The 2012 season marks the fourth full-time season for Allgaier in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
"The BRANDT Team has worked really hard all season, scored a win and numerous top-10 finishes. We accomplished a lot as a team and had a great time in the process. I’m looking forward to the off season and really focusing in on 2013 to make a run for the championship", said Allgaier.

BRANDT FAMILY BREAKS GROUND FOR HEADQUARTERS EXPANSION
Springfield, Illinois (October 16, 2012) – With all desks occupied and more growth projected, BRANDT broke ground to expand its world headquarters building in Springfield, Illinois. The 15-month expansion project will add two ‘wings’ to the main building, ballooning the original 26,000 sq ft building to more than 48,000 sq feet. FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED TO ORGANIZE BRANDT'S CHARITABLE GIVING

Carlsbad, California (October 8, 2012) – BRANDT Monterey was presented with The Western Plant Health Association’s highly regarded Harry J. Larsen Integrity Award at the association’s annual meeting last week.

Boone, Iowa (Aug. 28, 2012) – The DEKALB® brand’s custom 100th Anniversary Bike revved up the excitement at the 2011 Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Ill., when the bike made its engine-roaring debut to a crowd of onlookers at the main gate of the show.

ALLGAIER SCORES FIRST WIN OF 2012 IN WILD FINISH AT MONTREAL
MONTREAL, Quebec (August 18, 2012) – In a finish only fitting of a NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race, Justin Allgaier survived two green-white-checkered finish attempts to lead the only important lap of the race- the final circuit. Allgaier had been a contender for a solid finish all afternoon, keeping his BRANDT Chevy in the top-10 for a majority of the originally scheduled 74-lap race. However, due to a late-race caution, the race was extended past that distance with two additional attempts at a green-white-checkered finish. Allgaier’s winning pass took place in turn six of the 14-turn track and he deftly held off Sam Hornish Jr. to take the checkered flag for his first win of the season and first win at a road course. The win also bunched up the NNS driver point standings and Allgaier now sits fifth, only 33 points back from fourth and 68 points out of the lead. Read more >

LOCAL FARMER, BRANDT HONORED FOR CONSERVATION
LIVINGSTON COUNTY, IL (January 24, 2012) – At its annual meeting today, the Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) board honored a local farm family and two local businesses for their efforts in protecting and improving the soil and water resources in Livingston County.
Harms Family Farms, Kafer Tiling and Excavating and Brandt were all honored with Conservation Partner Awards.
Harms Family Farms, comprised of Norman, Kevin and Danny Harms, farm approximately 3,250 acres of corn and soybeans, along with raising heifers for a nearby dairy producer. They were recognized for their work with two demonstration plots, as well as five different enhancement practices on their farms.
Kafer Tiling and Excavating received its award for helping local producers establish grass waterways, control structures and tiling according to conservation best practices.
Plant manager Gerry Vance was on hand to receive the award on behalf of Brandt Consolidated. The company was recognized for many projects over the years to improve the quality of water and nutrient management programs. Brad Schmidgall and Pat Schaddel also attended.
