BRANDT RELEASES 2014 RESULTS FROM RESEARCH FARMS

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (January 15, 2015) – BRANDT is proud to present the 2014 results from our Illinois Research and Development farms in Pleasant Plains and Lexington. This marks the tenth year for the farm at Pleasant Plains and the third for Lexington. BRANDT® PROFESSIONAL AGRICULTURE® READY FOR THE 2015 NASCAR SEASON

BRANDT® to be primary sponsor of hometown driver in NASCAR's top series

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (January 12, 2015) – BRANDT®, a leading agriculture retailer and manufacturer of agricultural specialty products, announced today they will return as a primary sponsor of the No. 51 driven by Justin Allgaier in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. BRANDT will be the primary sponsor for 21 races over the 2015 season.

2015 will be BRANDT's second year in NASCAR's top series and fifth year as a primary sponsor with driver Allgaier and team owner Harry Scott Jr. in a NASCAR national series.

BRANDT RETURNS TO SPONSOR AG-THEMED SERIES ON PBS

ValleyPBS and Fresno County Farm Bureau Welcome BRANDT To Season Three of Valley's Gold

Springfield, Illinois (5 January 2015) – BRANDT, a global agriculture company with significant operations in Fresno, CA, is returning as a production sponsor for season three of Valley’s Gold, a weekly series on agriculture-related topics produced by ValleyPBS and the Fresno County Farm Bureau.

With 13 episodes, Valley’s Gold will air on ValleyPBS starting in late summer.

“There are more than 350 crops grown around Fresno in the San Joaquin Valley,” explained John Salmonson, former president of Monterey AgResources and project director at BRANDT. “Through this PBS series, we can help create awareness for the critical AG industry and the crucial process of getting food from farm to table.”

BRANDT EXPANDS DISTRIBUTION OF VERDESIAN PRODUCTS

Springfield, Illinois (December 8, 2014) – BRANDT, a leading manufacturer of agricultural specialty products, has signed a new distribution agreement with Verdesian Life Sciences, LLC. The agreement grants BRANDT the exclusive right to sell and market Verdesian’s patented Steric chemistry in the Turf and Ornamental and eastern U.S. Ag markets under the BRANDT Reaction® product line name. In addition, BRANDT will market a number of other key Verdesian products from the legacy Northwest Agricultural Products portfolio (excluding WA, OR, ID, NV, UT, MT and WY). BRANDT currently sells and markets BRANDT Sterics in the western U.S.

BRANDT Sterics have a strong following in the west and product demand is continuing to expand south and east. The chemistry improves nutrient uptake and efficiency of phosphorus, potassium and sulfur by delaying the reaction and tie up of nutrients in the soil so they remain available to the plant for a longer period of time. BRANDT Sterics are especially beneficial in high alkaline and acidic soils where nutrient tie up is common. Read more >

BRANDT PART OF RECORD-SETTING YIELD

BRANDT specialty products used on Georgia soybeans to set record yields

Springfield, Illinois (November 26, 2014) – Working through Southern States, BRANDT products were used on farmer Randy Dowdy’s soybeans to establish a new yield benchmark in Georgia, producing more than 100 bushels per acre and smashing the previous Georgia record of 82 bushels.

In combination with progressive farming practices, BRANDT Smart Trio® and BRANDT Manni-Plex® B-Moly advanced foliars were part of the nutritional mix that produced 108 and 110 bushels per acre in two plots. Georgia’s soybean yield average is in the mid- to upper 30s; irrigated fields are in the 70s. Read more >

REMEMBERING PAT SCHADDEL

(Thursday, November 6) BRANDT and the agriculture industry lost a great young leader today. Pat Schaddel, 48, was the manager of the Technical Support Division at BRANDT. Over his 18 years at BRANDT, Pat kept the company on the cutting edge of technology and public policy, while serving many industry associations in various leadership roles. BRANDT SIBLINGS NAMED ILLINOISANS OF THE DAY AT STATE FAIR

Springfield, Illinois (August 12, 2014) – BRANDT founders Glen Brandt and Evelyn Brandt Thomas (pictured above) were named Illinoisans of the Day at the Illinois State Fair. Evelyn accepted the award on behalf of the siblings at the Illinois Ag Luncheon from Secretary of Agriculture Robert Flider and hall of fame broadcaster Orion Samuelson. Later that evening, BRANDT was part of the winning bid, along with CME Group, for the Lincoln Land Grand Champion Barrow at the Governor’s Sale of Champions for a record $53,000.

BRANDT ACQUIRES RETAIL AGRONOMY COMPANY

Lemon Ag Services, Inc. to be integrated into BRANDT Retail Agronomy division

Allen Bolsters BRANDT Executive Management Team as Corporate General Counsel

Springfield, Illinois (July 28, 2014) – BRANDT, a global agriculture company headquartered in Springfield, announced that R. Lee Allen has joined the company as Corporate General Counsel effective August 1.

Based in Springfield and reporting to Rick Brandt, BRANDT CEO & President, Allen’s primary focus will be on providing legal counsel and strategic advice for all aspects of the business. He was most recently a partner at Sorling Northrup of Springfield.
