BRANDT RELEASES 2011 RESULTS FROM RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FARM

SPRINGFIELD, IL (December 22, 2011) – BRANDT released its 2011 results from the trials at the BRANDT Research and Development Farm.  These trials include: Hybrid Response to Crop Rotation and Population, Corn Herbicide Stress Mitigation, Brandt Total Acre Results, 20 Inch vs. 30 Inch Row Width Trials, Soybean Maturity and Variety, Soybean Population, and Soybean Yield Response to Seed Treatments.

Soybean Crop Beating Expectations

Mother nature soaked the fields of Central Illinois this Spring. Then things went the opposite direction as drought like conditions took hold in July and August. Corn yields took a hit thanks to the early wet weather, and the dry conditions hit right when soybeans need water the most. That left many farmers feeling pessimistic about their potential yields.
