Bret Berg

MoneyMaker Tractor Pulling Team

Farmington, Minnesota

Bret started pulling tractors in 1974 at the age of 11. His first tractor was a Farmall 460 diesel, pulling at local county fairs. The off-the-farm tractor in 1974 changed over the years to diesel super stock tractors. By the end of the 1980’s, the tractors had 280 pounds of manifold pressure with 4 turbo chargers making over 2500 horsepower. Bret ran in the Super Stock Class until 1989. In 1991 and 1992 Bret went to Late Model Stock Car racing on asphalt with 2 feature wins.

By 1995, Bret began working on a new venture, a modified tractor that was revealed mid-season 1996. The tractor had 3 super charged Chevrolet’s and was capable of sporting 3 to 5 engines. With this tractor, Bret won multiple Region Championships while also competing on the Grand Nation Circuit. This tractor was sold at the end of 2004. In 2005, Bret was switching over to Chrysler power-plants and another new tractor. As of late, the tractor design and features change every 2 to 3 years. Bret has won over 200 events since 1974: 4 Regional Championships, 2 Grand National Championships and a 4 time winner of the prestigious Enderle Pull Off. The team has expanded in the last few years to include a mini modified tractor, sponsored by BRANDT.

In-Season Update
Bret and the BRANDT tractor finished 7th on June 16th in Hutchinson, Minnesota while the remainder of the weekend pulling was rained out. The 7th place finish moved the BRANDT tractor to 4th in the Grand National standings in points.
