BRANDT do Brasil Donates 4,000 Bottles of Hand Sanitizer to Help Fight COVID-19 Coronavirus

LONDRINA (PR) Brazil (30 March 2020) –  BRANDT, a leading agriculture retailer and manufacturer of specialty agriculture products, donated 4,000 250g bottles of alcohol hand sanitizer to the city of Olimpia (SP).

The hand sanitizer will be manufactured by a local, Olimpia-based cosmetic company at the direction of BRANDT do Brasil. The bottles of alcohol gel will be given to the City Hall of Olímpia for distribution to hospitals, fire departments and the local police department. BRANDT do Brasil’s primary manufacturing plant is located in Olimpia.

“This initiative contributes and encourages other companies to help other cities and the Brazilian population in some way. We must come together at this point. We will look at other ways to do even more,” highlights Wladimir Chaga, president of BRANDT do Brasil.

As maintaining hygiene is one of the most important ways to prevent the COVID-19 coronavirus, the demand for hand sanitizer has exploded, with stores running out of stock. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways of preventing the spread of the disease.

“BRANDT takes pride in being a caring, compassionate, family company. When Wlad and the BdB Team saw this opportunity to help, they did not hesitate. They stepped up to do their part,” said Rick Brandt, CEO & President of BRANDT. “I’m incredibly proud of the whole BRANDT team as we mobilize to help our neighbors as they fight the disease and our growers as they work to raise crops around the globe.”
