Planting, Pests, and Crop Progress in 2024

BRANDT Technical Agronomist, Brian Dintelmann gave an agronomy update with Steve Bridge on Agribusiness Today on May 17, 2024. Brian discussed the recent planting window, scouting for black cutworm, and early positive impressions of this year’s soybean crop. They also discussed the tale of two crops: early April planted corn and soybean versus our mid to late May planted crops, which are in drastically different growth stages, making it a more difficult year to manage weed, insect, and disease pressures.
