Summary/Objective
The Business Intelligence Analyst sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and data science — empowering the organization to make smarter, faster, and more customer-centric decisions. It will support translating complex marketing and customer data into clear, actionable insights that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.
This role will serve as a bridge between BRANDT analytics platforms and our business users ensuring that data analytics, marketing strategy, and customer intelligence, are backed by seamless, secure, and trusted access to data. It will work closely with Marketing, Product, and the Sales teams to uncover trends and insights, optimize the customer journey, and measure the impact of sales and marketing initiatives.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will report to the Global Director of Product Management. This position plays a key role in BRANDT’s ongoing data strategy by also improving report data delivery, governance, enhancing user adoption, and enabling consistent reporting across all of BRANDT divisions — helping to organize, secure, and streamline how data, information, and reports are designed, organized, published and consumed.
Essential Functions
- Report Management: create, publish, organize, and maintain reports and dashboards In BI tools across divisions to ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience as well as to communicate marketing performance and ROI.
- Segmentation and Insights: Segment and profile customers to uncover behavioral, demographic, and geographic insights that help shape marketing/product strategy.
- Collaboration: Engage with broader sales and marketing team to design measurement frameworks and KPIs that tie marketing efforts to business outcomes.
- Framework Development: Contribute to building a unified framework for report delivery, automation, and governance across the organization.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor reports and dashboards for accuracy, usability, and compliance with governance standards.
- Governance: Partner with IT to align data governance with Microsoft/Azure security tools and group-based permissions.
- Permissions and Governance: Manage data access and role-based security to ensure employees only see information appropriate to their responsibilities.
- User Support: Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides to improve adoption and reduce retraining.
Required Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of business intelligence platforms (Power BI required).
- Experience in multi-channel performance tracking, attribution, and analytics.
- Ability to synthesize behavioral and transactional data into clear audience narratives.
- Experience with data governance, permissions, and role-based access control.
- Skilled at analyzing external market forces and competitive landscapes to influence positioning and marketing decisions.
- Adept at framing insights within broader business and marketing objectives to inform growth strategy.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, or similar governance/security platforms a plus.
- Data visualization and excellent communication skills; ability to translate data into persuasive concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, along with the ability to work independently.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data/reporting issues.
Work Location
This position will be located in our Springfield, IL office.
Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel
This position requires minimal travel.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in data reporting, governance, and business intelligence.
- Experience collaborating with IT teams on governance and security practices.
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance concepts and BI report delivery.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and flexible.

Pay Range: $55K - 85K per year
