Summary/Objective

The Computer Support Specialist will provide technical support to employees of BRANDT. This role focuses on end-user support , device management, and day-to-day operational information technology (IT) needs.  

 

Essential Functions

  • Serve as first point of contact for technical issues submitted through the Helpdesk system.
  • Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and access issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and user account administration.
  • Provision, deploy, and maintain end-user devices (computers, tablets, smart phones).
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Provide remote and on-site support as needed.
  • Accurately document incidents, requests, resolutions, and asset information.
  • Follow IT standards, security practices, and escalation procedures.
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused support and communicate technical concepts in plain language.

Supervisory Responsibility

Not applicable to this position.

 

Work Environment

Professional office environment with frequent interaction with end users. Work Includes supporting multiple locations including offices, manufacturing and retail plants.

 

Classification/Expected Hours of Employment

This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening and weekend work required as job duties demand. 

 

Travel

Up to 50% of travel within Illinois to BRANDT locations, and opportunities to travel out of state.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems
  • Exposure to Entra and Azure administration is a plus
  • CompTIA IT certification is a plus

Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
