Summary/Objective

The Computer Support Specialist will provide technical support at our Tampa office, handling computer and technology needs. This role involves resolving technical issues, maintaining IT systems, and supporting both remote and onsite staff. The position reports to the IT Director and requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

 

Essential Functions

  • Diagnose, resolve, and document technical issues using the helpdesk system.
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support.
  • Install, update, maintain, and troubleshoot IT hardware, software, and networks.
  • Document daily tasks accurately.
  • Communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly manner.

 

Required Competencies

  • Independent self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills (both written and oral).

 

Supervisory Responsibility

Not applicable to this position.

 

Work Environment

Professional office environment. 

 

Classification/Expected Hours of Employment

This position is a full time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5 p.m., with evening and weekend work required as job duties demand. 

 

Travel

Primarily based in Tampa with occasional travel to other BRANDT locations.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Proficiency in supporting Apple products (Mac OS, iPhone, iPad, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with A/V systems and Microsoft 365.
  • A+, Network+, Security+ certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; organized, detail-oriented, and flexible.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities as needed.
