Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Eastern Corn Belt Key Account Manager will be responsible for the processes, tools, and technologies that support the Sales and Marketing teams of the company. The key responsibility will be Customer Relationship Management (CRM). This position will provide guidance about market trends, develop resources, create multi-faceted business plans to help support business growth, and help track key performance indicators to assist the Senior Director and VP of Sales. This position will be essential in growing and guiding a fast-paced changing marketplace and help guide the growth by learning and staying ahead of market trends with strategic customers within various routes to the market. This position will work with the Regional Sales Manager and the Territory Sales Manager to help promote a more refined strategic customer experience.
The Eastern Corn Belt Key Account Manager will report to the Senior Director of Specialty Formulations, Ag.
Essential Functions
- Track short-term and long-term sales data
- Implement new technologies as needed to support marketing and sales teams
- Follow ethical practices with consumer and customer data
- Assist sales team to build out and fulfil strategic customer growth plans
- Monitor and assist with customer retention
- Assist in onboarding new customers
- Assist with various growth projects
- Serve as liaison with channel partners and core sales teams
- Help with Excel forms with pricing and give suggestions on market trends
- Establish new large-scale clients for white label, private label or tolling
- Attend dealer meetings and ag shows to help promote products and services
- Ability to work with Senior Director in negotiations with companies for contracts
- Willingness to travel away from home for meetings and work when required

Work Environment
The Eastern Corn Belt Key Account Manager will need to be a part of various areas including dealing with customers and vendors. This position may require the employee to be in an outdoor and/or professional office setting. This position must be located in Indiana, Ohio or surrounding states.
Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws. Days and hours of work are based on needs of customers and distributors.
Travel
This position requires up to 50% travel within their designated territory.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, agronomy or similar. Six plus years of experience in agricultural sales or management may be used in lieu of education.
- 10 years’ experience in ag sales or related agricultural field preferred.
- Ability to read and understand labels with the mathematical skills to convert and calculate rates as needed.
- Intermediate computer and software skills required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
