Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Production Supervisor is responsible for and works with production line members to meet set objectives for their assigned product reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager. The production Supervisor is responsible for executing the production schedule, safety, quality, and reliability. The Production Supervisor is additionally responsible for ensuring all team members are properly motivated and effectively trained to operate production equipment safely and reliably. The Production Supervisor must be committed to on-time order filling to meet customer demand daily.
Essential Functions
- Ensure all safety requirements and company policies are enforced and followed
- Train, motivate, and lead production members
- Ensure production requirements are met daily
- Assist in repairing and maintaining production lines
- Promote good housekeeping daily
- Effectively communicate to the Plant Manager all necessary information daily through verbal or electronic means
- Work in a safe manner, monitor team members for best practices and mentor
- Facilitate daily team meetings at production lines
- Initiate investigation and be part of the corrective action solution for any internal or external quality related issues
- Monitor production orders and follow up to ensure orders are being completed on time and that all equipment and members are being fully utilized to produce products in the most efficient manner possible
- Support continuous process culture and suggest process improvements
- Protect company assets
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as fillers, packaging equipment, labelers, etc.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications

Supervisory Responsibility
Trains, coaches, directs team members responsible for performing production activities, Conducts performance evaluations.
Work Environment
The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily in a production/warehouse environment with prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
This position is a full-time position that is non-exempt.
Education and Experience
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.

Pay Range: $23 - $26 an hour
