Summary/Objective
The Technical Data Analyst will lead our efforts to bring meaningful insights into life from raw and unprocessed data. This role will also focus on data collection and processing in addition to data transformation. You will identify and utilize tools, techniques, and software to bring forth insights that will advance and transform data for our team.
The Technical Data Analyst will report to The Technical Information Advisor and will work as a part of the Technical Agronomy team supporting our Agronomic Services division and well as our farmer customers.
Essential Functions
- Data Collection: Gathering data from various GIS and FMIS sources, accounting databases, web analytics, etc.
- Data Processing: Prepping data for analysis by fixing missing values and cleaning errors.
- Data Analysis: Utilizing skills to generate data, visualizations, reports, and preferably dashboards that can assist our Agronomic Services team and farmer clients.
- Collaboration: Work across other divisions in BRANDT to share tips and knowledge about best practices and communicate needs with colleagues.
- Business Acumen: Must understand accounting processes, database management, software languages, and be willing to learn about production agriculture.
- Technical Support: Design, organize, and assist colleagues and customers with clerical routines and administrative tasks.
Required Competencies
- GIS, FMIS, controller file familiarity and strength
- Database and data source management and experience
- Power user of business intelligence software like Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.
- Management of online portals and user hubs.
- Teamwork and Collaboration Skills. Also, the ability to work alone frequently on projects.
- Ability to multitask daily.
Supervisory Responsibility
Not applicable to this position.
Work Environment
Professional office environment. This position will be located at Headquarters in Springfield, IL.
Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5 p.m.
Travel
This position does not require travel.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Agvance and Power BI preferred.
- Experience with SMS, Climate, MYJohnDeere, preferred.
- 3-5 Years Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting
- Knowledge of agronomy a plus: crop production, fertility, seed, and crop protection.
- Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with leadership.
- Must be organized, detail orientated, dependable and flexible.

Pay Range: $65K - 90K per year
