BRANDT Bolsters Discovery And Innovation Team With Marcos Loman PhD

Springfield, Illinois (May 28, 2024) – BRANDT, a leading retailer of professional agronomic services and manufacturer of specialty input products, is pleased to announce Marcos Loman PhD has joined the BRANDT Discovery & Innovation team. Loman will join Eric Winans PhD as a researcher at BRANDT’s 300-acre research farm in Pleasant Plains, Illinois as well as provide valuable insights throughout the agronomy team and customer base.

Loman, a native of Brazil, comes to BRANDT after his doctorate work with the University of Illinois. He is a graduate of the University of Sao Paulo in Piracicaba, Brazil and spent one year at the University of Wageningen in The Netherlands before attending the University of Illinois. While at the U of I, he has been part of the prestigious team focused on innovations in crop productivity under the leadership of Dr. Fred Below.

Loman brings global experience from Brazil and Midwest USA in both corn and soybean with an emphasis on plant nutrition, soil fertility and fertilizer technology.
