BRANDT Makes Two Strategic Promotions

Gordon Appointed Territory Sales Manager, Armitage Promoted to Plant Manager
Springfield, Illinois (January 9, 2023) – BRANDT, a leading retailer of professional agronomic services and manufacturer of specialty Ag input products, has named Eric Gordon as Territory Sales Manager for BRANDT Dealer Support and promoted Brian Armitage to BRANDT Lincoln Plant Manager.

In this newly created role, Gordon’s focus will be to service and grow BRANDT’s business through agriculture dealers, distributors and industrial customers throughout the Midwest.  He will primarily be selling commodity fertilizers and complementary products, reporting to Brent Wallner, VP of BRANDT Dealers Support.

“I’ve worked with Eric for years and I’m excited for him to make this transition to the Dealer Support team,” said Wallner. “Eric is a driven individual who will immediately produce positive results in his new role. He has hands on experience with the products in our portfolio and has been selling them to our grower customers throughout his career. It’s a significant shift in focus and strategy, but still the same common goal of making growers successful.”

Gordon, a 25-year employee, has managed the BRANDT Lincoln ag retail facility since 2002. He has developed deep industry relationships in Illinois as a leader with IFCA. He served on the IFCA board for 8 years, taking the gavel as chairman for the 2017 term.

In a corresponding move, Brian Armitage has been promoted to manager of BRANDT Lincoln. Armitage, who has been assistant manager at BRANDT Lincoln for 16 years, will oversee all sales and operational duties at that location. Armitage will report to Ken Vincent, the newly promoted Regional Manager (North) of BRANDT Agronomic Services.

“Brian is ready to lead the team in Lincoln and continue our success in that area,” said John Allen, VP of BRANDT Agronomic Services. “He is a great addition to a talented team of managers who communicate and work together to accomplish the company’s goals. With these moves and the moves we made in December, I’m eager to face the future of our business.”

Gordon and Armitage will transition into their new roles over the first half of 2023.

“Change continues to be the constant in our business,” said Rick Brandt, President and CEO of BRANDT. “And these promotions—along with the changes in December—demonstrate our commitment to our people, our business and our customers. We are deeply committed to our business in the Midwest and look forward to continuing to provide the top-notch service that is BRANDT’s hallmark. Congratulations, Eric and Brian.”
