BRANDT Promotes Cour to Associate General Counsel
Cour also named as Assistant Corporate Secretary to multiple BRANDT, Inc. subsidiaries
SPRINGFIELD, Illinois (20 May 2020) – BRANDT, a leading agriculture retailer and manufacturer of specialty agriculture products, has promoted Emily Cour to Associate General Counsel. In addition, Cour has been named to be assistant corporate secretary to a number of the recently created BRANDT subsidiaries.
In her new role, Cour will assist in protecting BRANDT's legal interests across all BRANDT companies and will provide hands-on counsel to BRANDT’s leaders and management staff, including drafting key legal documents, providing HR counsel and legal support and developing and assuring legal compliance.

Cour started her new role on March 1. She will continue to report to R. Lee Allen, BRANDT Chief Legal Officer.

In addition to the associate general counsel role, at its last regularly scheduled meeting, the BRANDT Board of Directors appointed Cour as Assistant Corporate Secretary for multiple BRANDT, Inc. subsidiaries, including Team BRANDT, BRANDT Agronomic Services, BRANDT Dealer Support, BRANDT Discovery & Innovation, and BRANDT International.
Cour joined BRANDT as corporate counsel in February 2016, after being in private practice for 10 years at Sorling Northrup in Springfield, IL. She holds a B.A in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University; she earned her J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law.
