Evelyn Brandt Thomas Secures Winning Bid for Land of Lincoln Champion Steer at Illinois State Fair
Springfield, IL – Focusing on youth in agriculture and supporting tomorrow’s future agriculture leaders is a long tradition at BRANDT. One such way is participating in the Illinois State Fair Sale of Champions. Evelyn Brandt Thomas was front and center with her focus on the winning bid for the Land of Lincoln Champion steer. Maddox Reedy of Douglas County brought his steer to the auction platform and the bidding commenced. Evelyn was not to be outdone and placed the winning bid at $40,000.00. Proceeds are distributed amongst the winner along with supporting other youth agriculture programs. Congratulations to all the fair exhibitors and keeping Illinois leading industry, agriculture, a priority for generations to come.
