The BRANDT Foundation Raises Over $30,000 for Memorial Medical Center
Employees, company, vendors, Board and Brandt family give generously
Springfield, Illinois (25 January 2018) – In a special one-time fundraiser, The BRANDT Foundation raised $30,675 for the Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
“Memorial is a huge part of the community we call home and I’m proud that we were able to come together through The BRANDT Foundation to make a meaningful contribution,” said Rick Brandt, President and CEO of BRANDT. “This is our way of giving back and saying thanks to those who have given so much to us over the years.”
The Memorial Medical Center Foundation fundraiser started with a $2,500 seed pledge from Brandt Consolidated, Inc. From there, the company tripled every dollar contributed by employees, Board members, vendors, executives and the Brandt family. Contributions ranged from $25 to $1,500 and came in from across the country.
“Thank you to The BRANDT Foundation and all the terrific people who are part of the BRANDT family,” said Melissa Hansen-Schmadeke, Executive Director of the Memorial Medical Center Foundation, in accepting the donation. “It’s because of the generosity of people like you that we can offer world-class medical care and services right here in Central Illinois. All of these funds will go to support patient care, education and research throughout the Memorial Health System and the Springfield community.”
