Erosion/Sediment Reducing Corn Growth

BRANDT Agronomist responded to a grower call earlier this week with concerns of stunted growth in corn through areas of their field. In the picture above his thumb indicates the soil level at germination. Nearly 1.5 inches above that is soil level at the time of the visit. Strong winds and rain moved soil around the base of the corn plant and obstructing normal growth.
